Our 2nd XV were deserved winners of the Metro 3 League title yesterday when they overcame a dogged Blackrock side in an entertaining game with both sides playing running rugby at every opportunity. Experience in the pack was a telling factor for the winners. With the young Blackrock back line running every ball the WFC pack consistently won turn over ball at the breakdown which was critical to the win.
Congratulations to the players, Captain Conor O’Higgins, Coach Tommy Ellard and Manager Greg Hopkins.
