DSC/Wanderers Touch Rugby team continue their unbeaten run 

DSC/Wanderers team Black continued where they left off from last week’s round 1, and remain unbeaten after downing allcomers on home ground in Merrion Road last Saturday. Welcoming seven visiting sides in addition to our three home teams, Merrion Road played host to over 100 touch players competing over 14 rounds of games. Fergus Moriarty was on hand to provide food and beverages for all, with particular attention being paid to the  “fresh vegetarian curry”!

Our own home grown Kiran Byrne from the Wanderers Youths, went big and secured men’s MVP of the tourney – Well done KiranAt International Level, DSC/Wanderers were well represented in both the Mens & Womens sides at the Autumn Home Internationals Touch Rugby Series Round 1 in Manchester on Saturday 4th September.

The Irish Womens side with four DSC/Wanderers reps in Allanah Byrne, Patti Grogan, Katie O’Byrne and player/coach Tania Rosser.

The Irish Mens side with three DSC/Wanderers reps in Eddie Devitt, Fergus Leech and Captain, Ryan Roopnarinesingh, recorded wins against Wales and Scotland
