2nds win at Malahide – top table

Malahide RFC 7- Wanderers FC 53

Wanderers 2nd 15 maintained there 100% record when they travelled to North Co. Dublin to the picturesque Malahide Estuary on the 20th Oct where thy took on a big Malahide pack. Wanderers played some lovely running rugby from the beginning which Malahide were unable to handle with Peter Broughan pulling the strings at No.10 and getting his back line moving quickly from early on . The opening try was scored by Martin Bosch who later went on to score the try of the season so far when slicing through the Malahide defence from a line out to out pace the cover and score under the posts. Wanderers led 24-0 by the 30min before Malahide scored a well worked try by there big pack but then Wanderers responded quickly by quelling any thoughts of a fightback from Malahide when Kelvin Leahy crossed out wide after some great link up by the backs just before half time to lead 29-7 before the break . In the second half Wanderers piled on the pressure and further try’s from Stephen Breen, Cian Farrell and man of the match Jack Conn who was everywhere in the 2nd half saw Wanderers leave the Northside club with a comfortable 53-7 victory . Roll on St Mary’s for Friday 1st Nov in Merrion Road
